St. Paddy's Day Potluck
Genoa Residents: Get your Irish on and help us celebrate St. Patrick's Day! Bring your favorite 'potluck' salad or dessert to share with Genoa area residents on March 17. The Town of Genoa will supply the traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner. Plus there will be a Silent Auction, traditional Irish music, fun family entertainment and more.
Every year the Town of Genoa and Genoa residents sponsor an Egg Hunt for the Genoa area children. Bring your kids — infants through 6th grade — dressed appropriately for the weather and ready to hunt for plastic eggs filled with sweet treats. There are separate egg hunts for each age group, and each egg hunt has a Golden Egg prize for the child who finds it.
PARENTS: To help keep costs down and support our efforts, please drop off 1 dozen plastic eggs filled with seasonal candies at the Town Office on Monday (no later than 4 p.m.) the week before the Annual Egg Hunt.
Sponsored by the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center
Guided tour featuring haunted sights and historic landmarks — including Mormon Station, later known as Genoa, "The First Permanent Settlement in Nevada" — with haunting tales of a rich and exciting history. You may even meet a few ghosts and ghouls!
Admission fee.
Location: Starts at the Genoa Courthouse Museum.
Phone: (775) 782-2555 or 782-2893.
