Public Comment During Board Meetings

It is the intent of the Genoa Town Advisory Board to protect the dignity of citizens who wish to comment before the Board.  Citizens should have the ability to freely comment on items and/or projects that are brought before the Board for action without interference.  In order to ensure that every citizen desiring to speak before the Board has the opportunity to express his or her opinion, it is requested that members of the audience refrain from making comments or making any remarks or gestures that may interrupt, interfere with, or prevent the speaker from commenting on any present or future project.  

During periods of public comment during meetings, comments must be limited to 5 minutes.

Submitting Written Public Comment
Members of the public who are unable to attend or who would like to submit written public comment may do so by Email. Written public comment may also be mailed to the Town of Genoa at P.O. Box 14, Genoa, NV 89411, or submitted in person to Town Staff during regular business hours at 2289 Main St., Genoa, NV 89411. Please reference the date of the meeting and the agenda item you are commenting on in any written public comments submitted.

Written public comments must be recieved prior to the date of the meeting to be included in supplemental materials for the meeting. Written public comments received before 3:00 PM the day before the meeting will be compiled and added as supplemental materials available to the Board and members of the public prior to the meeting. Public comments received after 3:00 PM the day before the meeting or on the day of the meeting will be compiled as supplemental materials and distributed to the Board within 24 hours of the meeting.

***Written  public comments submitted will be a public record and will be made available to the public on request. Your submission of written public comment indicates your acknowledgment of this notice and consent to release the information. Written public comments submitted may not be read to the public, but will be available for inspection as supporting materials for the agenda item identified.
