Candy Dance Volunteers Since 1919

The funds raised during the Genoa Candy Dance provide a substantial portion of the Town of Genoa’s annual budget.
Volunteers make it happen!

If you are interested in volunteering (in any capacity) for this year’s Candy Dance, please contact Alison Grey, by Email or phone (775) 782-2430. You will need to fill out our registration form and sign the release waiver before you can join the Candy Makers. See below for a download link to the PDF form:

As the Candy Dance weekend approaches, many volunteers are needed to help with all aspects of the event – candy making, candy packing, candy selling, kitchen help, Genoa merchandise booth volunteers, sound system setup, parking attendants, trash collecting and so much more. We need your help to continue the Candy Dance tradition.

Volunteers Make It Happen

The Genoa Candy Dance runs on "volunteer power..." Without volunteers, the Genoa Candy Dance would be like the copper candy kettle above — empty. The Candy Dance Faire and Dinner-Dance event is the success it is today because of our generous volunteers and we encourage you to volunteer to help keep the Candy Dance Event going for another hundred years. This page is dedicated to all our hard-working volunteers.

Every year, volunteer candy makers donate hundreds and hundreds of hours to make 4000 pounds of Genoa’s famous homemade candy. The Candy Dance planning committee begins working early in the year to coordinate the many details that ensure a successful event.

We need your help to continue the Candy Dance tradition.
